This series, to which I regularly add new work, was made in the Euregio near Liège in Belgium, in the run-up to local, municipal, elections. Election posters have the function of presenting candidates in the best possible way; to make themselves known and to stimulate and entice citizens to vote for the candidates. Photographing these images evoked a smile in me, but also questions about the effect and power of this method of presentation. It also shows the charm, colorful and surrealistic that this Wallonian region carries. For me the main reason why I regularly photograph in this region.
